May it Bring You Peace

Today's quote is short and sweet: "Better than a thousand senseless verses is one that brings the hearer peace."~Buddha  I suppose that's one of the reasons I've decided to use quotes for my blog-the way the right words can touch a person.  That's what I love about writing and what I hope to achieve with my writing, to give the reader, or viewer in my case as I'm a screenwriter that connection.  I also love how the right words can kinda float around in the atmosphere, waiting for the right moment.  You know, like when a line of a song you've heard 100 times suddenly strikes so true it seems as if it was written just for you.  I suppose, in a way it was.  Then, there is of course spiritual texts.  Whatever your views on religion you cannot deny that there are gems of wisdom here and there. Organized religion and I parted ways long ago but there is a version of the prayer of St. Francis sung by Sarah Maclachlan that I absolutely adore.  What "verses" bring you peace?
