Prompts-mountain, honey and water. Word count 129
Two black bears ambled down the mountain trail in search of water and perhaps some honey. They hoped that the traffic of Cades Cove had cleared enough for them to drink undisturbed. The last time they came to close to the tourists they were chased all over by the wildlife “paparazzi.” The bears had almost reached the creek when they heard the roar of engines about to round the curve. The two furry companions gently leaned on a rotting tree trunk until it blocked the road. Frustrated, the two legged visitors awaited the park rangers to unblock their path, honking and slamming their hands on their steering wheels. All the while the fauna the tourists had so eagerly awaited slurped contentedly in peace.
